About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mine Surveyor on a Max Term basis for works based at a premier Kimberley Minesite Rehabilitation project. Working closely with our site technical & management team, this role will be responsible for accurately mapping and monitoring the site throughout the rehabilitation process. This role entails a 2:2 Days only roster.
About You
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role (Civil or Rehabilitation environments)
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification
- Authorised Mine Surveyor's Certificate of Competency - Grade 2
- Proficient in Pix4d, Trimble Business Centre, Topcon 3D Office, Trimble Earthworks and Point Studio software
- Experienced in Safe Drone Operations
- Display a clear commitment and focus on the health, safety and well-being of all employees
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence
- Able to obtain a National Police Clearance (NPC) for site access requirements
- Willingness to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical & Drug / Alcohol Screen
Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys and capture accurate data using advanced surveying tools and software
- Monitor and document rehabilitation progress to ensure compliance with project timelines and regulatory standards
- Operate drones (DJI Phantom 4, Mavic, M300) for aerial surveying and mapping
- Preparation and Submission of Monthly Claims
- Prepare EOW (End of Week) and EOM (End of Month) volume and progress reports
- Collaborate with project leaders and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
- Perform topographical surveys to guide site rehabilitation
- Develop and manage GPS machine control files
- Ensure the site meets environmental and legal requirements throughout the rehabilitation process
